(Sergeyvich) Pushkin is considered as Russian’s greatest poet of the 19th Century and the founder of modern Russian
literature. Pushkin wrote some 800 lyrics and a dozen narrative
poems. Great writers and artists such as L. Tolstoi and Tchaikovski were inspired
by the Pushkin fairy tale “The Tale of Tsar
Saltan, of His Son, the Glorious and Mighty Knight Prince Guidon
Saltonovich, and of the Fair
Swan-Princess” to create “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker”. |
